It's been nearly six months since I've been on this post (I will be more diligent with my next posting to focus on 4th quarter goals). I have some photography friends who want to make calendars for 2011 to send to their primary clients and they want use some of my work. I don't know where to begin and nothing seems be good enough so instead of a photograph I am considering making a photo montage of elements from some old and new photos that I have not use yet.

It has been years since I worked in Photoshop using many photos to make one photo montage of a concept or idea.

I will start rummaging through my files and use certain elements to add to a visual concept. I will start contacting models to use in my photo montage and I will review my old journals and complete some of the "Story boards" that I began but never finish.

Yesterday, I shot some preliminary photos with a new model (model #801) and I think I have some ideas that I will use for an October calendar. Here is the start up image I will work on the shadows, lighting and add in more elements soon.

I loved that little dittie... actually I took this shot on January 15, 2010 on the upper deck of the Megabus exiting the Lincoln tunnel on the Weehawken side and the lone car in front reminded me of an old song a long time ago. I shot with a Speed Graphic 4x5 camera using Ilford 125 film.

The Mutts Strut : Halloween Day at FDR Park

The 3rd Annual PAWS Mutt Strut, a 1.5-mile scenic walk in FDR Park to raise funds and awareness for PAWS' efforts to save Philadelphia's homeless animals.

Despite the intemperate weather it was a great showing for animal lovers. It was a tough time for me though, lugging all the old photo equipment and supplies in the rain on Septa ( glad they didn’t Strike) but it was rewarding.

My challenge for the shoot was to use trailing-edge technologies such as analog film (Instant Black & White Film - Fuji Film FP-3000b professional) and a large format camera (a Speed Graphics 4x5 camera 1952 vintage).

The Prints which are produced via chemical processes produces instant black and white positives right on the spot without the benefit of any electronics have, for me, a timeless almost mystical appeal.

I give a print to the client and keep the discarded negative to dry then later at the lab I’ll scan. The end results of the process (done in Photoshop) are interesting. Notice the spots and other imperfections which are from the rain, wind and changing ambient temperatures of the day - it sure was a challenging day.

Game 5, Phillies

The Piazza was packed with hundreds of Phillies Fans I was only passing through on the way to the "El" but got caught up in the excitement with a few friends that I bumped into. So much for going home early to work on Prints.

I didn't not stay long in Fishtown I caught the "El" up to 30th street station near Penn University and was amazed with all the police dressed in riot gear and "Extra" stuff to restrain the anticipated "Revelers" I mean they had Police Wagons and Buses to lock people up in I guess the City remembers last years' mayhem after the Phils won the title. All Metal trash cans were already removed from 30th Street train station to, I guess, the length of Penn University, 10 full city blocks! And most of the Bars were serving beer in plastic cups during the later innings to prevent them from turning into projectiles outside. Hmmmmm, what makes a Phillie fan?

Dreary rainy day-Cancellation

It looks so lonesome and dreary outside- the Fall weather is here. Must stay proactive despite the photo shoot cancellation and this gray, dreary rainy day.

I had the Studio set up for a Speedgraphics 4x5 film photo shoot but my client seems to be like this weather-depressing and a "No Show".

My plan was to shoot in the ambient light using Fujifilm (Instant Black & White Film, FP-3000b) Professional panchromatic type and then finishing off the shoot using a Digital camera.

I need a subject to shoot the cats won't stay still and the lighting outside is getting dark.

Cats!

The Cats (that I inherited) are going crazy again. Chuckie, the Maine coon cat, is following Cece around like I don’t know what. Cece is in heat and all I can do is keep them separated but it’s getting on my nerves.

Cece has become unusually affectionate, by sidling up and rubbing her hind quarters against furniture, stuffed toys, other cats, and me. As soon as I get some extra cash I’m getting Chuckie and Cece fixed. But for now I’ll have to deal with this madness.

There's this tree that has the number "32" painted on it that has (for me) the best, broadest limbs and the most dramatic bark when the Sunlight hits just right.

Whenever I walk pass it I tell myself that I will photograph it with a large format camera and it going to at "just the right time" of the day and I will use the right filters I will shoot in Black and white.

I did a quick photo shoot today for a 70's look at Reverie it was totally by happenstance so I didn't have much time to set up I'm glad that Brady was around and willing to help select an outfit for Gina to wear and strike a pose in it was fun. Anyway, it's too late for the shot to be selected for the 2nd Thursday event next week (Sept 10th) but I'm interested in continuing shooting "Vintage style" for a few more months.

What is the story that we tell ourselves. I've read somewhere (I don't remember where) that every individual has three stories that they carry around.

The story that we tell others (1) ; The story that we tell ourselves (2) and The real story that we hide from others including ourselves (3) . Heavy stuff! I find myself evaluating some crazy stuff and must navigate the Stars- the stars that are in my mind but it seems so dark right now.

It's a deep thing to sometimes get an epiphany to realize that the only thing that keeps you from wanting to know who you are is the fear of who you might be and not liking it or thinking others might not like you. How do you take the hero's journey?

This is a high density, socially, economically depressed area. I would say that there is about 50% unemployment in the neighborhood and that a person must be on high alert at all times.

Yesterday was a scorcher of a day. We managed to shoot three subjects. I am happy that they showed up and tolerated the 90 degree heat.

I've been trying to catch a mood but we're not there yet. The mood is "Private moments" thoughtful moods.

The successfully selected pictures will be showcased on September 10th during "Second Thursdays" at Reverie Vintage Goods.

Stuck up in this place my place (by choice) on a Saturday watching Salma Hayek playing Frida Kahlo in the 2002 movie "Frida" it's my second time. Everything is great about this movie the sound track is... you can close your eyes and just listen. Enjoyable.

Frida Kahlo is one of my favorite artist she tells Life stories with each brush stroke what a life journey she's had.

I'm preparing a large quantity of Green tea to last the week my own special blend green tea, red pepper and a smidgen of ginseng. I let it cool over night then place it, in jugs, in the frig - it has a kick.

Looking for employment has been difficult (more so in my mind than anything else) I've had a couple of weddings in the last two weeks- they were fun. I've decided to continue with special projects like the "Reverie Vintage clothing shots" and the "Philadelphia Grid Project". I'm shooting with old technology and some digital.

Here's a shot of Grisha Enikolopov in the garden of the Coffee house in Fishtown. I did not have a light meter for the Speedgraphic 4x5 b/w1950's camera but the goal was to make it look "vintage".

Anyway, I went to Centennial park with Rich the other day to "rediscover" a hidden path that, I think, is not frequented much by the public. The path is overgrown with foliage, lots of plants, tree leaves, stems and what not. Actually it's wetland area and a great refuge for birds.

A few weeks back when I was there and a little bird, a blue jay, (Cyanocitta cristata) stepped in front of me churping loudly and said "Yo dogg...What you doing here?" "You gotta go. Get outta here!" Typical Philly attitude.

•9:30am I got my "Cool" back I lost it last night in Penn's Book store when I was rushing to get to the next location in Old City. I left it there sitting on the table (my olive green bucket Hat) all by itself. I didn't realize it was missing until I got downtown. Man was I pissed! Anyway, it turned up in the "Lost and Found" today... I got my Cool back.

Monday, April 13, 2009 The Day After Easter
•8:30am I love this weather it's a sunny, cool, crisp day and not many people are on the EL or in the Streets because it's the day after Easter. I plan to get much done today and I do have some goals for this week.

This morning while waiting for the EL on 60th and Market streets, I heard one of the vendors playing an old song "At Last" sung by Etta James and it brought back good vibes of when I was a little Kid in Newark now I hearing it again here at Cafe Satellite... must be a good omen. At last I'll get my stuff together... yeah that's the ticket.

I'm drinking a large cup of Java and plan to stay here for a couple of hours then go back uptown.

Last weekend was long with two professional activities (2 photo shoots) and then committed activities with Friends. I went to the Barbery and the Blue Martini Saturday night and was mildly surprised how people "party" in some clubs these days. Watching Guys dance with Guys and Women dancing with Women just for the enjoyment of the music hmmmm. Different times we live in... it's ok though people are having a good time.

Yesterday was a positive day and the P3 (Personal Portraiture Project) photo shoot went well Kim and Ann. They are so musically and artistically talented I listened to them play the violin, guitar and (of all things) an accordion Wow!

Shooting in their section of town (East Falls) brought back a rush of memories when I lived there in the 70's. The house's were made for the Sunrise and Sunsets- lighting is so smooth. The area has really developed.

The Digital, Pinhole and 4x5 Speed Graphic shoots seemed to go well. I had to do some guesting with the exposure times because I had forgotten my light meter I'll see later when I do the Chemical processing this evening.

So anyway I'm lugging around town two laptops (one for training and the other for Photography and Graphics work) and the two are getting heavy and I'm trying so hard to do some training but it's not working I need a buddy to focus me.

I'm liking these chilly Spring mornings .... not liking my roommate woman bamming on the front door at 6:00am in the morning. I wanted to sleep for 30 more minutes but it was not meant to be so I got out of there early... glad I did.

So! In my meandering of the day I bought a Terra Cotta Dragon (to ward off bad things and vibes) incense holder that I plan to set on my desk when I go back home today.

However, I am doing bursty work at the Coffee & Tea houses that I've been to so far and picked up much needed supplies for tomorrow's Photo shoot.

Shofuso (Japanese House and Garden)

I got an early start today and the last few days have been stimulating and intense. I went to Shofuso (Japanese House and Garden) in Fairmount Park Saturday to observe the Nodate Tea (Cherry Blossom Tea) Ceremony with Keiko and Carol and took a few pictures of the Garden and a little of the Ceremony itself, but not much because it was very windy outside so the event was done inside. Anyway, I shot with a Sony A-200 Digital and an old 4x5 Speed Graphics camera I need to go back and shoot with ALL old technology ( Film).

I'm feeling like the character Leonid McGill in the Walter Mosley novel "The Long Fall" . Except I don't have a wife, kids, Stepkids, or a mistress only very lost needy people. And I am negotiating the troubles of mid-life in this contemporary Philadelphia living on the rim of poor side of town.

A section of the city that has suffered some serious socio-economical implosions (the well to do people have move out decades ago leaving their possessions and others behind).

The SEPTA renovation project has lasted more than 10 years now and many city blocks are boarded up neglected and/ or occupied by homeless, drug addicted Denizens - not good.

One must stay on constant vigilance when walking the streets - Day or Night.

11:00am Finished / It took 10 minutes for two shots I'm exhausted it's a very mean feat for me to stand still for 3 minute 10 minutes for one shot hoo boy!

(will put it in a box and lock it away)...felt trapped in an unreality that I could not get out!

It was difficult getting up this morning for the Wissahickon / Devil Pond photo shoot I had the hardest time sleeping. I am very very thankful that Mary B. was there to support and encourage me to strive on.

I specifically Camera Obscurer and I hope that I have a few good shots. Today was a great day to shoot too.

• 2:00pm, Bonte, The last few days have been life involving and at times intense. Shizu, Tsyuoshi's cat, died today around 1:30pm. I was house sitting for the weekend with both cats (Jen and Shizu) and they seemed to be having the best time jumping all over the place meowing and what not; so full of life. Then, today, a cat fur ball, a little hacking, then calamity...Shizu is rushed to the Vet and didn't come back. Christa and Tsyuoshi looked so forlorn and the day just has not been right.

I had to get out and get some vanilla ice cream with a shot of Espresso here at Bonte'... have not had Ice cream in about a year.

•11:00am, Bonte', 17th street, Man I could not sleep well at all last night so I stayed up and decided to leave early (4:30am) and shoot the snow covered center city it turned out great!

The City was quiet, sleeping and covered in a blanket of snow and I caught before the Denizens awakened to trample all over the snow.

I got my best shots in Rittenhouse park I took shots with the 4x5 Speedgrahics and a small old digital camera.

•12:00pm Doubleshots, working and waiting I will work on the Web design info before my 1:00pm meeting. Since last night I was hoping for a serious snow fall- nothing but flakes and slippery streets. So much for an early morning Photo shoot with other Photographers and friends.

• 5:00pm, Cafe Ole', My meeting went well and now I must deliver the tentative layouts and proposal for charges.
Now to begin focusing on CSS, PHP and Flash 8 the next 4 weeks will be intense retraining... this time I will prevail I will have three Websites up, running then the Marketing of "albfor.com".

Cafe Ole' always have the most interesting people frequenting its domain the women are so like not the norm.

• 5:40pm Cafe Ole', Wow what a day it has been people preparing for and celebrating the Inauguration of the new president; its a new beginning for me and the whole world!

The Inauguration of President Elect Barack Obama is a real moment in History! The multitude of all people was phenomenal and wondrous. To see so many young people involved in the Politics of this Nation is fantastic and to see on TV millions of people standing in the cold weather in Washington, DC... will probably never happen again in my lifetime.

To watch and visually participate this is moment of time is something that will motivate me for the whole year!

• 3:45pm Cosi, Rittenhouse square, I was down for the whole day yesterday- just in a funky mood could not seem to get out the house.

Friday night was a very good night I met my client at Patau on Market street and he was thoroughly impressed with my work he called the next day to order 4 more albums-Wow!

Well time to plan the next few months a clean up my Resume' find ways to get a positive cash flow going.

•5:10pm It's trying to snow out there. The Philadelphia Eagels are get their butts kicked at present in Arizona (6/24) and it's 5 minutes into the Second Half. I miss hanging out with large groups of people during the Football season.

I feel the Bailing out of Big business and the Trickle down BS that's being espoused "the Small businessman", "The little people" are gonna get it big (in a bad way) this time in a bad way.

• 2:42am/ Basho I'm still up watching movies and TV shows I need to go to bed like now but I want to watch more movies.

• 10:30am / I stayed up until 4:00am watching the CSI - Crime Scene Investigation series the 9th season I will not do this next year.

It's windy as Heck outside and the Clouds are just flying past- I have to go out there in about 30 minutes.

•6:20pm / I'm back and there's lots to do, make Dinner, wash a small load of clothes, polish shoes, pick up two bottles of Champagne and figure out what to wear tonight.

My original plan was to cook Smoked Neck bones, Blackeye peas and rice. I did not have the chance to pick that stuff up so I went back to West Philly to grab stuff out of my freezer (Collard Greens and frozen Alaskan Wild Salmon-Ocean Friendly procured) so now I hooking up a banging dinner for myself before the festivities (hanging out in Fishtown and Kensington with Happi, Steve and Deborah).

•9:00am Basho/ Gotta keep it going stay on schedule don't have much time today must work on 2009 Goals. I have a client to see around 1:30pm and then I need to put some cash in my checking account. I plan to go home and see what's going on in West Philly. I need to pick up my Winter coat for the expected cold weather this week.

•4:00pm Satellite Cafe/ My roomie is a trip and is pulling at straws for help... I can't help him he believes his lies - very frustrating. I hope he gets help... he's not listening to me. So I go in the house and he jumps out of the bathroom trying to frighten me- he didn't. What frighten me was his hair, its grown and the top of his head he has twisted hair patches and the sides are just sticking out- Like Bozo the Clown. I thought to myself that "I should not have left him alone in the house for so many days"! He's really a broken man now...Gosh! I knew for sure that I was not staying home tonight.

Just made a cash deposit and thought I could get a check from VIX but it was closed for the holidays. I did managed to get a client for Friday so I'll start the year making some money ... must go out and buy groceries like Black eyed peas, rice and smoked neck bones to bring in the year right as tradition dictates.

I have a confession! Since House sitting here in Fishtown for the last two week I've gotten an addition and it's getting very expensive and I can't seem to stop I'm getting sucked into it I think I might need consultation about it. For the last two weeks I've been buying and downloading TV shows and Movies from Itunes and staying up all night watching....its terrible. Also I've been ordering a lot of Take out dinners from Pizza shops and expensive restaurants must stop in 2009.

•10:30pm / Basho the movie was great I thoroughly enjoyed watching Slumdog Millionaire. Well I'm back and reviewing all the personal stuff that I have not worked on soon in three days everyone will return I must accomplish two projects at least.

•4:30pm Devon Seafood Grill (Rittenhouse Square area). What a day of meandering through the city. I walked from Germantown & Girard avenue down 2nd street to 2nd and Market streets at a nice leisurely pace...it was great; too bad I had no one to walk with me.

Fishtown is a very intense area it is up and coming it's becoming a very hip place to start your life. You got the bohemian, artist, type crowd moving in with the "Down and out" crowd. You have these Warehouses being renovated by individuals and corporations. Fishtown is the new South street. The potential to re-invent yourself and make it happen is much better in this section of town.

Well, getting back to the nice walk I did today it was refreshing, peaceful, a small adventure walking and checking out the little boutiques along the way to Market street. Second street (near Brown) is THE PLACE to be there are Coffee shops, Bars, and a Bowling alley which is so much on Sunday nights.

It took me like 20 minutes to get to Market street and I walked up to 8th street to buy an earring for the one I lost a couple weeks ago.

•5:00pm / The holidays are stressful last night was fun but I'm a little tired of it all and the expectations.

I've been House sitting for about 8 days now and these two cats are very interesting entities they are nothing like dogs. Dogs will avert their eyes and acknowledge you when you screem at them for a wrong doing.

Jen, the more active of the two cats, jumps on the kitchen table lies down, looks at you and says "Meow, what's up" all the while pawing my laptop keyboard and rubbing his head against the screen then flicking his tail in my face as if it a very normal thing to do...it drives me crazy!

I think Cats conspire to mess with your head they don't listen to commands like dogs. Cats look at you with these fixed eyes as if you were a Witches' Warlock but won't recognize you without the Stick and the smoke they just have this glacial look. AND if the Cats are pissed with you they let loose with all this fur around you- very bad vibe. I having difficulty with fur in my food and on my clothes.

•4:48pm Basho, I had a good time shopping for food at the Italian Market with Brandi - been such a long time since being down there. It was really nice to shop for the biggest holiday season of the year made me feel like I was part of something special.

Brandi bought fresh pasta for Ravioli from Superior Pasta Company to take to her family. I bought meats and cheese from Dibruno brothers Market and a pork roast from Fiorella's LLC - excessive I know but it's been so long since buying what I want and contemplating how I will cook it for my enjoyment. I also knew that it's gonna be a long week in the building alone when I come back from New Jersey.

•9:45pm 4th day at Project Basho, it was very very cold this morning when I woke and I wanted to sleep under the blankets for, like forever, until the early morning spring. The cold made me feel so stiff, sluggish and not wanting to get into the season's spirit. I felt like that all day into the evening and then a good friend stopped by and gave me a gift that made things feel so right... it was very nice.

Anyway, I'm still processing the tentative prints for Sunday's Photo shoot.

• 6:00 am / Basho I slept very well and the sleet and rain bouncing off the window was hypnotic and relaxing.

Friday, the 19th, I was in an accident, my shoulder and Neck is still stiff. It was strange and happened so fast. We, my friend Wood and I were waiting to enter a traffic circle when "Bamm boom" and simultaneously a jolt, I thought Wood farted. I kind of slumped over the dash board in anticipation of the smell. Turns out a truck hit us from behind.

Now to set up Studio 1305 for the Garment Photo shoot which start at 10:30am I hope it turns out without too many problems.

• 4:00pm Penn's book store, I finally made it out the house I have lots to do before the end of the year I hope to take 5 Portraiture shots of couples before the year is over.

On another note, yesterday, President Bush was in Iraq for a surprise visit and got a pair of size 10 shoes thrown at him in a news conference.

Muntadar al-Zeidi, a TV reporter, hurling his shoes at President Bush telling him: "This is a farewell kiss, you Dog!" then he gets his ass severely beaten from Iraqi security forces...what a mess.

Saturday was an action packed day I covered the "Running of the Santas" at Finnigans wake and then I covered a quiet little party at Basho it all was fun but I felt so out of touch with people like I did not belong in the festivities... it's the time of the year I guess.

This time of the year it's like One should be a Couple or caught up with real friends and not alone. Anyway, the "Running of the Santas was fantastic the event was filled with thousands of people part taking in the yearly Rites of bringing the Christmas season in with a bang wearing the red and white outfits and drinking and running to the North Pole (45 South 3rd street at the Irish Pol) ...crazy Man, Crazy! The party at the Irish Pol started at 2:00pm but the Free cover was at Finnigan's Wake and the Buckhead Saloon the streets were filled with revellers. I would have hung longer but I had a quiet party to attend.

Hard to believe that I have been living a block away from the EL for more than a year now with the rest of the people under the long shadow of the 10 year construction/ renovation of the EL line.

The affect of the Construction has been dramatic it's as if a meteor hit this place....a Social Economic implosion to the denizens. From 63rd street to 52nd and Market street you see every other building boarded up or abandon.

•11:00am PARC / Its a beautiful day nice and cool the weather is how it should be this time of the year. I had an early start I am meeting with a potential client today. I am a little doubtful that he will show up which is why I came down here to Rittenhouse Square (10:00am- 1:00pm is the best time of the day) so that I could work and enjoy the Fall/ Winter view before 1:00pm. I think I'll stay here (PARC) work on the Web until 12:30pm then walk across the street and enjoy the weather and the snobby crowd for about 30 minutes. I think this week I will do some Photo shoots around the City and maybe Wissahickon Valley.

1:30pm Cosi / Well my Client was a "no show" but I'm still undaunted I have other things to do today like go over to Fishtown later and show Derrick, Coffee House, the Journal program that I''m working on.

•2:30pm Basho/ A very productive day I started early with setting up the Studio at my leisure and then an easy flowing Photo shoot with Alex, she was nice and easy and knew just what to do - the shots came out great I think she has a lot of potential. Once she makes her selections I'll post them...I hope the Head Shot photos helps her in latest endeavor.

•4:38pm Basho/ I'm back to cover for a couple hours, I'll do as many scans of the Grid project and other shots then go across town to get a quick bite eat around 8:30pm. I have to plan for a Layout tomorrow got to pull up all the files for it when I get home.

•8:10pm / still here at Basho and I don't want to leave I still have much to do.
•9:30pm / Pagoda Noodle Cafe, I'm doing a "Take out" and I'm getting carried away with my order I'm suppose to be frugal and stick to my budget but it's restlessness.

I had a great time Hiking in Ridley Creek with Steve, Matt, Molly, her family, three Dogs and my favorate muse, burch we walked about 4 miles.

I took some shots with a Holga and then with a small very old Sony W-40 digital camera that I purchased in 2002 it's sluggish but still works.

•1:30pm Bon Bons, 2:00pm / I'm still tired and hungover from last night what a bummer. I will answer my emails and then try to do more positive things before going back uptown. It's a nice dreary day.

Hanging out in Fishtown with Brandi and friends (BJ and Rich) was crazy, interesting and it felt so strange to be in that section of town.

PENNY PACK PARK
But, before hanging out last night I shot with 3 members of our GRID SQUARE PROJECT from 11am to 3pm in Penny Pack park it was very stimulating I should have been more prepared with supplies though.

I had: 1 Holga Camera, 1 Nikon F3 35 mm camera 1 Sony W-40 digital camera and a 4x5 Speed Graphic camera but very little film.

Usually I stock up for supplies the night before but I was in a funky kind of mood and that mood carried over into the next day, in fact, I could not sleep most of the night so my butt was dragging in the morning and I woke up late.

FISHTOWN
Anyway getting back to last night activities it was First Friday in the Bohemian parts of town ( Old City, Fishtown, etc) and the plan was to visit as many Galleries as possible but Brandi and I kind of got stuck with our first "Party". The "Party" was in this new condominium, Memphis Flats, located at 1714 Memphis street in Fishtown and they had a live band playing in the background.

We were like the first people there and it felt a little snobby at first, Brice, the featured Artist, had some interesting Artwork- her technique has promise; she works with colors and patterns that are layered over a previously painted image. What happens next is the underlying paining "bleeds" through the surface. I would have bought something if I had money- yikes.

Brice had these real hot boots on that she said her Mom bought her especially. Well, after drinking a couple of beers she began to look like Emma Peel (one of the two British agents, John Steed being the other) from the Avengers. I imagined her running down halls in Memphis Flats after criminals and diabolical masterminds while still trying to showcase her Art...what an imagination.

Getting back to Memphis Flats, the Loft condominiums that we checked out were one- and two-bedrooms and very streamlined not bad not bad at all. But I would not like to live on the first floors the doors just lead right out to the streets...too easy to access from the streets.

•12:55pm PARC Brasserie/ Waiting for William to show but as anticipated he's late I'm not sure that he will be out in this dreary weather- what a bum.

When the place (PARC) first opened in the summer I did not think that it would have such a crowd but it always does I like it. It is like families from the Neighborhood come here to eat and interact I have a nice warm feeling whenever I come here. AND I can always get wifi when I access my laptop. My waiter, Kevin, was very engaging too.

•5:30pm / Bon Bons in about 30 minutes some of the Polls will be closing in several states and I'll get to see what's happening. There are two big Election viewing parties going on starting at 6:00pm I am going to at least one of them.

Anyway tomorrow I plan to do some Bar hopping with friends to sit, drink, eat and watch the Big event unfold.... I only hope that it does not get too emotional and ugly with the Voters.

•30th street station, Cosi / Just using the net to download some data I should be here for 30 minutes then I'll catch the Orange line to Broad and Olney to hook up with John for a Photo shoot it should be fun. I did not buy anything to eat or drink which is unusual...a different time now, huh?

•6:30pm / Cosi, 30th street station/ Back from my Photo shoot it was fun 15 month old Madison was a little irritated but eventually perked up for the occasion it was nice - sometimes I pain myself with that part of life I missed ... Family is so important.

I just noticed that on the Cosi's menu that there is no dinner you can get for under $6.50 and the cheapest drink is over $1.50!

Anyway I'm uploading the digital files that I took of 15 month old Madison I'll process them more on Tuesday then I'll print up the Proof book for John and Pam.

•9:30am Satellite Cafe / Woke feeling like I had to get out asap and make some things happen cause I am in need.

Satellite cafe always have interesting people - this neighborhood is so vibrant not much friction nice vibe. Tonight I am going to a birthday party- change my attitude to a positive one for this don't know why I think I must be entertaining.

•1:00pm / Still here did find the invoice I was looking for will print it up for tonight. I also finally, put together the Sale flyer for my Sony A-200 Kit that I have to sell (because I'm broke) very soon. I'm placing an ad on Craig's List don't want to....have to.

•1:36pm / Posted the Ad on Craig's List will leave here in about 20 minutes plan to go over to VIX and check out Emily hope she has good news for me beginning to feel a little stress from Lou- a drag on my mind. I'll probably go down town for a couple hours.

•3:17pm / Reading Terminal, Getting groceries for the week and then back uptown.
The Presidental Elections is in THREE DAYS I hope the vote is on Ability and not on the FACE oh PLEEEEEEEEEASE not the FACE. Man oh man the fear is palpable with some of the people. I've been very careful about voicing my political point of view during the last six months but now for the next 3 days I'm wearing my button - a very small button.

Well tonight is Marcie's birthday party and I am going don't plan to stay long and I will not bring a camera because that would be Work work that would not be appreciated from the Crew that will be attending.

I was thinking about staying down here to cover the Halloween revelers around Rittenhouse but I need to rest my mind somewhere possibly home.

1:00pm Bonte', 17th and Walnut street, The City went wild last night after the Phillies won the World Series (been 28 years) I was very tempted to jump on the EL with the Crazies and ride downtown to City Hall where all the revellers began to head but I decided to go uptown to West Philly. But every El stop beckoned me to turn back. When the doors opened (46th, 52nd, 56th street) you heard people screaming and chanting "PHILLIES, PHILLIES,PHILLIES,PHILLIES! " and Car horn, Bus horns the EL horn blaring what a singularity of exhortation of satisfied happiness of the City!

That one shot of Patron and 16oz beer really gave me a hangover from last night. But I needed a diversion, distraction, something to get me somewhere else beside wishing I was with the Masses in Center City.

I did not watch the Barack Obama's half-hour, multimillion-dollar television infomercial preceding the Phillie's game last night because I'm tired of the extremism that both parties have been spewing...my mind is made up..... so there! I think that commercial will probably be Obama preaching to the choir anyway.

•4:34pm still here at Bonte' they're playing this Argentine group "Gotan Project" that I must get when I get paid from one of my clients-I hope-soon...been very lean lately learning to be frugal. I'll start answering my phone calls around 6pm my Ex has been calling for the last three days and more than likely she needs some help with something-for free. NO!

•6:35pm Barnes and Noble / I'm motivated to do some work this whole week I've struggling to get things done now things are running a little more smoothly.
Barnes and Noble always have interesting people vibing on the 2nd floor some with plenty of Pathos.
